Living in the season

OK, so here I am blogging. I'm taking the advice of those who say they love me and putting my words out there. Be kind!
If you're wondering why my blog is called "To Everything..."it's because that's the lead in to my life verse from Ecclesiastes. "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven." I'm looking at the new year and the next moment and trying to figure out what's coming in the next season of my life. I'm writing more lately and feeling drawn to try to publish. I do a search on publishing and nobody's accepting manuscripts. Now what? Remember the seasons rule. Maybe it's time to write and the time to publish isn't quite here yet. I've learned by pushing my agendas and living on expectations that you can't force the next step. It's like looking out your window on a January day in Michigan and willing the flowers to bloom..it ain't helpin' nobody and you'll probably end up with a headache.
Sure enough though, the earth will turn and the seasons will change. The flowers will bloom, the sun will shine hard and then the leaves will fall and the snow will come. And if God isn't a liar; it's all good. So here I am. In this season I'm writing and learning and living. I'm waiting for my kids to get home from school and make so much noise I can't hear Dr. Phil. Then the Mr. will come home and smilingly go get us something for dinner (I burned our's, ugh). On this January day in Michigan I'm the mom of amazing sons, the wife of my high school sweetheart and an unpublished writer.
It's a nice season. Think I'll enjoy the view.
