We have one Walmart, one Rite Aid, one small Giant Eagle grocery store. The nearest Lowes and Home Depot are 20 miles away. We have no Starbucks - 20 miles for that too. I find that since moving here, I spend way LESS money on things I don't need. Nothing will close its doors in my town - because there's nothing here!Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08812561767149616280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20541515.post-13359645823090928462008-11-24T08:40:00.000-05:002008-11-24T08:40:00.000-05:00i vote for sara!i vote for sara!Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12987483750284752227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20541515.post-35933596785301591052008-11-23T21:42:00.000-05:002008-11-23T21:42:00.000-05:00so true! I have stopped somewhere because it was more convenient and spent a couple bucks more than I needed too... but it was convenient!

I'm tired of nothing specialMargiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00110651946602849853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20541515.post-52060825214663394412008-11-23T18:56:00.000-05:002008-11-23T18:56:00.000-05:00I vote you in to be on Obama's dream team of econo...I vote you in to be on Obama's dream team of economic planners. You'd be the only one with any smarts :) ... the rest have barely half a brain when it comes to the economy, yet it's the simple folks that 'get it' ...

P.S. We visit our local hardware store most often because they give much better customer service. Yes, they cost a bit more, but if my snow blower or chain saw breaks, they service what they sell. I'm eleven miles from town and have learned to shop for a month's worth of groceries at a time ... except for bread/bananas/milk. But my garage IS bigger than my grandparent's entire home (sad) ;)Mrs. Machttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06644129213141875138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20541515.post-30537340272854470602008-11-23T18:38:00.000-05:002008-11-23T18:38:00.000-05:00My Tomer and i have always refused to RENT a car! ...My Tomer and i have always refused to RENT a car! Didn't make sense...we even had a car salesman tell us how wise we were...Wow! we thought as we drove off the lot.
You are so right about Walgreens, Rite Aid and CVS, it is utterly ridiculous that there is a drugstore on every corner...and we are surrounded by empty Strip Malls.Lovely aren't they? And then there are those who have closets the size of my bedroom...and they are FULL!
Good Post...I agree!!!Trishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15653217196457292626noreply@blogger.com
