you know that is so funny because I was reminded of the Sound of Music when I was watching the Pacifier this morning on cable (nothing else was on)... "my favorite things" was one of my mom's favorite songs...

Rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with strings, these are a few of my favorite things.... sorry, I digressed.

when the dog bites, when the bee stings; when i'm feeling sad...i think of a few of my favorite things and then i don't feel so bad!

cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings...
these are a few of my favorite things..

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

I wish i could have heard my mom sing it!

this family is notorious for breaking out in song for no good reason; and in inapppropriate venues.
someday we'll all sing with your mom. i am pretty sure Jesus won't mind!

if you can't recite a song or movie line you don't belong in this family.

He might mind if we sing in our earthly voices, I'm counting on Him giving me a voice like Whitney Houston, but he can keep Bobby.

BOBBY!!

Bobby needs Jesus! I am certain that if Bobby had Jesus in his heart, he'd have a lot less problems...

Sara says..."when the dog bites, when the bee stings; when i'm feeling sad...i think of a few of my favorite things and then i don't feel so bad!"

no no no...it's "...I simply remember my favorite things..."

get with the program already!

(sorry --it's that perfectionist part of me that can't help correcting people when they make a faux pax!)
