Hair Warriors

This is a very important post and before you continue, please stop and ask the Lord to focus your heart and spirit on him so that you can be a vessel of wisdom.
I trust you and your insight on all matters of eternal significance and so...
Should I keep growing my hair out so I can return to the pony tail?
Or should I whack it all off into a pixie?
I've never had a pixie but I certainly look exactly like Anne Heche so this pic should suffice.
Commence to praying and commenting. You might want to fast as well.

As your mother I'm sure my comment will have the biggest influence on your decision :)
Two thumbs down on the pixie. It's very cute on someone with thick slightly curly hair. Need I say more?
Hey, remember when you had a pixie as a child and grandpa didn't know who you were? Ponder that for a while - plus on the downside you need to wear eye makeup with a pixie -something your not fond of -lest you look like the brother you never had. Keep the pony tail and I'll cut your bangs for you ~ just like when you were little!

if anyone can pull off the bold look of the pixie, its you. tis a daring move.
one must also consider the potentially awkward growing out period which may prompt one to remain forever a pixie.
i'm pretty sure i will still recognize you though.
of course, i think you are beautiful with any manner of hair.
i will now commence with fasting.
shalom.

i have always been jealous of ponytails, since i keep my hair to short for that.

I've had both hair styles in recent months --the ponytail, while quick and easy to care for caused me to look a little more dumpy than I already look.

The pixie --I always get compliments when my hair is shorter. It's still easy to care for and I think it brightens up my face and helps me look my age (of which I am proud) You'll have to ask Dawna --she's seen me both ways. Dawna --a pixie - with great highlights -- always looks fabulous.

I vote for the pixie.
Rebel against your Mom. What does she know anyway?

P.S. my hair used to be thick with lots of body --it's now much thinner and poker straight --I can still pull off the pixie look (I think) - (again...I defer to Dawna...)

I think I'm going to get my hair cut in a pixie, Deb just talked me into it.

Hi Sara,
Thanks for the visit and comment.

I may be wrong, but I seriously doubt if ever in the entire history of the world any man has ever told a woman to cut her hair.

My view may be slanted because my wife has long flowing hair which I've watched turn white over the past 38 years.

Just an opinion on my first visit to your site and w/o either prayer or fasting.

Q: What do men call an ugly woman with long hair?

A: Beautiful.

I like the pony tail ... at least keep it as long as you can! But there comes an age when you simply can't get away with it ... unless you start wearing it up on top of your head as a bun! Then you can switch to a pixie cut ... you know for when you wear purple :)
