My heart is broken for the Israeli people who have fought for their right to exist from the beginning. My heart and my prayers go out for them. As I pray for them, I am saddened in the fact that our country is maneuvering away from our closest ally in that region. But even more importantly, we are walking away from the people God has specifically said He will bless, along with those who bless them and curse those who curse them. Just being alive requires so much faith and time spent in prayer these days. I am sometimes so ready for Jesus to come back and take us home.
Diane, I feel the same way exactly. In fact, I searched this morning for music to lift my spirit into praise because I felt so bowed by grief. The Holy Spirit keeps reminding me...Israel cannot be defeated. Lord, give wisdom to our leaders who dare to defy you.
