Garden Party

I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses

And He walks with me, And He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voice, Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me, Within my heart is ringing

And He walks with me, And He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known

I'd stay in the garden with Him',Tho the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling

And He walks with me, And He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known
- Words and Music by Charles Austin Miles, 1913

Happy birthday to woman who has tended the garden of her family for over forty years. Thank you for the soil of Christ in which you planted my life.
I didn’t write this old hymn, I’m giving it to you for your birthday anyway.
We love you!

I love you too.
My favorite hymn makes me cry - just reading those beautiful words.
Being 60 also makes me cry.

how blessed. I am so jealous of you that you have had a wonderful mother all these years, I am sure there were times in your life when you didn't think she was wonderful, but we soon grow out of our teenage years...lol...

I'm so jealous that I have adopted her as my mom too!! Happy birthday mom! I love you more than all the stars in the sky!!

I have been so slow about reading the blogs lately, but yes, your Mom has been a wonderful Christ follower and has given her family such a tremendous road to follow her on. She has led and allowed you guys to follow. What a WONDERFUL heritage you have had. Happy Belated Birthday Pat. I love you guys! Arlene
