...since I'm SO FAR BEHIND in my reading (what else is new?) --comment about the 20th anniversary celebratory vacation....how about Massanutten Virginia --in the Shenandoah mountains --absolutely gorgeous!!! AND -it's close to DC so satisfy the Mr's need for congested cities.
We honeymooned there --and then went back the next year. Loved it, loved it, loved it!
