Sleigh Ride!

Ok here is my dirty Christmas secret. I am so ashamed. Of all the beautful, holy Christmas music out there; this is my favorite.

Sleigh Ride
Written by Leroy Anderson

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling
Ring-ting-tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you.

Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling "Yoo-hoo!"
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you.

Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, let's go
Let's look at the show
We're riding in a wonderland of snow
Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, it's grand
Just holding your hand
We're riding along with a song
Of a wintry fairyland!

Our cheeks are nice and rosy
And comfy cozy are we
We're snuggled up together
Like two birds of a feather would be

Let's take that road before us
And sing a chorus or two
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you

There's a birthday party at the home of Farmer Gray
It'll be the perfect ending of a perfect day
We'll be singing the songs we love to sing
Without a single stop
By the fireside where we watch the chestnuts pop
(Pop pop pop!)

There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy
When we pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie
It'll nearly be like a picture print by Currier & Ives
These wonderful things are the things
We remember all through our lives

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling
Ring-ting-tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you.

Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling "Yoo-hoo!"
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you.

What's your favorite Christmas carol?

LIttle Drummer Boy, We 3 Kings, Mary did you know, and Do you Hear what I hear?

BTW, and this many sound like a dumb question, but was there really a little drummer boy in the bible?

My favorite is O Holy Night. Ian's on the other hand is Dominic the Italian Christmas Donkey. His teacher plays it for them and he has made me buy it from iTunes.

Without a doubt...O Holy Night

I also like Mary Did You Know? - written by that guy whose name escapes me....comedian/singer who toured with The Gaithers....
I can't imagine being Mary and knowing that when she kissed her little baby, she was kissing the face of God.... gives me chills just to think about it!
