1. I don't remember not knowing them.
2. Barry's green suit.
3. The first time the Mr. saw Barry he was hesitant to invite him to play piano at church. I was the church pianist at that time. Insert hysterical laughter here.
4. Barry played keyboard at our wedding.
5. Barry & Arlene took us out to dinner at Mama Mia one Sunday night right after we were married. It was the first restaurant meal we'd had in weeks. We were broke and they paid. They didn't know we were broke, they just loved us. It filled my heart and my belly.
6. Their daughter baby sat daboyz. They called her Amburger.
7. When we were talking about divorce, they refused to allow it. They prayed us through without ever taking any side but God's.

Looks like I'm the one who's known the Wilburn's for less time than you old-timers. We met at "Mamre" and that was about 1985 or '86? So, after 21-22 years, here's to Arlene-n-Barry:
1. I don't remember Barry's green suit
2. I do remember his playing piano! The guy definitely has a gifted soul! I love to hear him play..maybe he should make a CD for us
3. They do love people
4. They are faithful
5. They LOVE their daughter and grandchildren!
6. They're willing to help anyone
Love the Praying and Praising post! Amen!
and here's to the family God has given...what treasure in earthen vessels!
I always loved Barry's green suit...green was my favorite color when I was a kid.
1. I haven't known them that long, but I feel like I've loved them for 194 years.
2. They are amazing to hear when they pray.
3. I was at their house the first time I ever heard someone speak in tongues, and anywhere else I think I may have been frightened (no offense to anyone, it was just different).
4. I feel like I've loved them for 194 years
I probably have laughed over this post more than anything I can think of. I think it was the green suit. You see, Aid, Am, Danielle and Nikki used to call it his pickle suit. We always laughed about that.
Sara, we had no idea about taking you out to dinner...thank the Lord we did.
You guys are all so precious and we are so thankful that our roots go so deep.
Sara, I did have to laugh about the piano thing too. I am sure when Barry gets a chance to read this, he will crack up too.
194 years sounds good...but our next season will be FOREVER!
I loved Mama Mia's. Oh what I would give for just one of Mama's breadsticks! Oddly I don't remember the green suit, I thought I remembered a yellow suit but my Mother tells me that I am wrong. I do remember babysitting daboyz, I think Mac was preperation for T. Just kidding!
Thanks for this glimpse into ArleneandBarry's lives!
